In August, 2008 we went up to Pelican Lakes, MN to stay at the West's lake house for the summer. We've been friends with the Wests (Ryan and Jenny, Jacob, Logan, Micah and Cooper) since before we were married. Our kids get along so well; it makes for a wonderful vacation (and their brand-new speed boat didn't hurt, either!). They had rented a lake house near them (they live in Fargo) for the summer, and invited us to come up and spend a weekend. It was so fun - the lake was beautiful, the conversations were fun, and the boating was awesome! Both Bryan and I wake surfed, which is easier and funner than skiing. The kids tubed, and we all just enjoyed the scenery as we rode around in the boat. It was a super fun weekend.
