In early February Kaitlin flew by herself to see my mom , Grandma M (and Ron). She flew from Minneapolis to Seattle, where my mom picked her up and drove her to Vancouver. Kaitlin was very brave on the plane, and the excitement of visiting grandma outweighed the nervousness of travelling alone. She had such a great time while she was there. They had an adventure-packed weekend of tubing, ice skating, shopping and eating out. They toured the Capilano Suspension Bridge and got to see Olympic Village under construction. It was a great experience for her. She brought back gifts for her sisters and now they are counting down the days (and years!) until they can go by themselves to see Grandma M!
